Blueprint Relay
Rebuild a model you cannot see, one carefully chosen word at a time.

About
Blueprint Relay is a communication challenge every department will recognize. Each person plays a vital role, and success depends on how well information travels from one link to the next.
Participants are split into small groups with specific roles in an information network. The goal is to build an exact replica of a model from simple pieces, but the builders never get to see the original.
Before the clock starts, teams agree on a strategy. Then descriptions, questions and feedback flow through the network, while strict rules control who can see the model and who can talk to whom.
When time is up, each replica is compared to the original. A facilitated debrief follows, where everyone shares what happened and draws conclusions about how information really moves inside your organization.
Learning outcomes
Blueprint Relay highlights the importance of precise language, feedback and step-by-step strategy. Its rules are designed to show just how much depends on passing information along clearly and accurately. Each role depends on the others, so nobody can coast.
Teams quickly see how small misunderstandings snowball as a message travels, and how asking good questions and confirming details saves time. Builders learn to describe what they need, and information holders learn to explain it simply.
It is an excellent way to strengthen communication between teams and departments, and with customers, because the same habits apply everywhere.
The closing debrief turns a fun challenge into practical takeaways. People leave with more respect for colleagues in other roles and a clear idea of what they will do differently on Monday.
