About
Storm Survival Camp starts at a team training center, where everyone picks up practical survival skills that could come in handy when extreme weather strikes.
Using an app, teams learn, practice and compete in face-to-face challenges through trivia, photo and video tasks. Zones include Navigation, Shelter, Knots, Fire, Animal Awareness, Water Filtration, Signaling, First Aid and Food, and there are more zones than any single team can complete.
Then the alert sounds. A massive storm will hit the region in just 30 minutes and could last for weeks.
To survive, every team must now work as one group, putting its new skills to the test to unlock a box of real survival tools. The final challenges include target accuracy, a first aid stretcher race, decoding Morse code and shelter building. The team that plays together survives together.
Learning outcomes
Storm Survival Camp is built to get people collaborating face to face. The escape-style finale pushes teams to delegate roles and talk openly about strengths and gaps. Nobody survives alone, and that becomes clear fast.
With too many zones for one team to cover, groups must decide where to focus and who does what. Teams solve problems and perform under time pressure in a fun, low-risk environment.
Because the zones teach real basic survival skills, everyone leaves knowing more than when they arrived, from tying knots to signaling for help.
The immersive theme sparks storytelling about past adventures and camping trips, helping coworkers get to know each other on a new and genuine level. It is a great fit for retreats and leadership offsites.
