About

Starship Crime Scene is a murder mystery set aboard a space station, brought to life in high-definition virtual reality. Escape-room style problem solving keeps every team member engaged from start to finish.

Teams share a VR headset, taking turns as the lead investigator while teammates on the outside track the evidence and suggest where to look next. Nobody sits out for long, because the headset keeps moving around the team.

Together they must work out how, why and when a crime took place in deep space, searching level after level of an abandoned starship for clues.

Interactive features and immersive sound effects build suspense as teams push into uncharted sectors, piecing together a trail of evidence until they can finally close the case. It is the perfect mix of cutting-edge tech and old-school detective work.

Learning outcomes

Starship Crime Scene builds leadership and teamwork under the pressure of competition and the clock.

Active listening and asking the right questions are the keys to success, especially when only one person can see the scene at a time. Teams learn to describe what they see precisely and resist jumping to conclusions.

Teams use deductive reasoning, moving from the general to the specific, to connect clues into a logical answer. With each turn in VR, the team gets better at separating what it assumes from what is actually there.

The race to be first with the right answer at each level keeps everyone engaged and encourages supportive, positive behavior as each player gives their best for the team. Teams leave buzzing and comparing theories.
