About

Every conference has that moment after lunch when the energy dips. Rainbow Tube Orchestra fixes it in minutes, turning a seated audience into a laughing, cheering orchestra.

Each attendee receives a set of tuned percussion tubes: lightweight, hollow plastic tubes in bright colors, each one tuned to a different note by its length.

A high-tech visual interface on the big screen shows the music as color-coded blocks moving across the display. Attendees time their taps so each note sounds as its block crosses the line, and together the room plays a lively piece of music.

Then the tempo climbs. The blocks speed up, the patterns get trickier and everyone has to react faster to keep the music building to a big finish. It is a cost-effective way to reset the room before your next session.

Learning outcomes

Rainbow Tube Orchestra has a proven track record of re-energizing conferences and creating an instant sense of unity. The music only comes together when every single person plays their note at the right moment.

Because the tune is built from hundreds of individual contributions, people immediately see how their timing affects everyone else. Missed notes get a laugh, and the room learns to listen and adjust together.

As the speed increases, the activity becomes a fun test of focus and reaction time, and the payoff when the full piece finally clicks is shared by the entire audience.

Above all, it is a simple, joyful way for attendees to relax and connect, so the rest of your agenda starts with open, positive energy. It also gives your event a memorable moment people will mention in the post-event survey.
