About

Pedicab Sprint is a fast, hands-on build-and-race challenge that gets your people moving from the first minute. Each team builds its own three-wheeled passenger cart against the clock.

Working from supplied plans, teams turn a self-assembly kit into the ultimate cardboard racer, sturdy enough to carry a passenger at full speed.

With the build done, teams decorate their pedicab with color, personality and a few finishing touches so it stands out on the course. They also decide who will ride and who will power it on race day.

The challenge wraps with a race that tests both speed and control. With coworkers cheering from the sidelines and a sprint to the finish, it is a high-energy finale that brings the whole group together.

Learning outcomes

Turning a flat pile of materials into a working pedicab takes teamwork, resourcefulness and clear communication from start to finish.

With a clear picture of the end goal, teams can form sub-teams that work in parallel, breaking a complex project into manageable pieces and keeping everyone busy and productive.

Those sub-teams still have to stay connected, because every part must fit together in the end. Regular check-ins and clear roles stop small issues from turning into big ones, a lesson that applies to any cross-functional project.

Decorating adds a creative touch, and the race delivers friendly competition and one big shared moment. Teams leave proud of what they built and with a clearer sense of what they can do when they plan well and pull together.
